Oh, and that the two of them are star-crossed Hindu gods, fated to be apart. And she’s committed murder. She’s not sure how to deal with the rage that is boiling inside of her, so she turns to an unlikely soul for advice.

Lily
Lily isn’t really your typical everyday twenty something, but as far as she’s concerned, her life is still a bit . . . uneventful. Always a little on the edge, she’s never been satisfied with the norm, and has never really felt like she’s fit in. Then she finds out that she’s the incarnation of the goddess Kali, and things suddenly start to make sense. Well, some things, anyway.

She’s still not sure why there’s a curse on her, that she can’t be with the guy she loves. And why there are other Woken gods after her, for her blood or her power or her protection or just one of her hands. Or why whenever she gets angry, she blacks out and wakes up next to a dead body, blood all over her hands. All she knows is that by the end of her journey, she’s going to have some answers. No matter the body count she racks up to get them.
